Honeywell Technology to help Middle East healthcare providers deliver more efficient care

As a leading supplier of digital technologies for the global healthcare industry, Honeywell (NYSE: HON) will take part in the annual Arab Health Exhibition & Congress being held January 25-28, 2016, in Dubai, to share its vision for more connected and efficient healthcare management in the Middle East.

At Arab Health 2016, the world’s second largest healthcare exhibition and medical congress, Honeywell will show how its ‘Connected Hospital’, ‘Connected Clinician’ and ‘Connected Patient’ initiatives use technology to integrate infrastructure, systems, clinicians, and patients in innovative ways to deliver better care through streamlined operations, reduced errors and a smoother patient journey.

“Governments and private sector operators in the Middle East are intent on leveraging technology to improve the quality of healthcare delivery in the region, but also want to reduce overall operating costs,” said Peter Costa, vice president, Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions, Middle East. “With billions being invested in healthcare infrastructure, we at Honeywell are working with our partners to ensure the right technology is being utilized to ensure better outcomes for administrators, clinicians and patients.”

Honeywell’s ‘Connected Hospital’ proposition integrates infrastructure to ensure rapid information flow and more agile operations for a smoother patient journey. The ‘Connected Clinician’ initiative, on the other hand, automates workflows and communications to help reduce errors and increase productivity for greater clinician satisfaction. The ‘Connected Patient’ initiative improves the health of patients through effective monitoring in the hospital and beyond, while reducing costs and readmissions.

In its 2015 healthcare outlook for the Middle East, global advisory firm Deloitte found that ambitious medical infrastructure projects are driving healthcare industry growth in the GCC states, and that governments are looking to leverage technology to raise the quality of healthcare services in the region. The report also found that Gulf States are keen to optimize current operations, something Honeywell is very well positioned to deliver.
