GROHE collaborates with the design community by hosting Design Seminar
As part of an ongoing effort to invest and support the UAE design community, GROHE in partnership with the APID hosted the association’s most recent design seminar at the GROHE offices in EMMAR Square, downtown Dubai. The event was in line with the GROHE international Design Series program, marking the inaugural session for a series of events that the award winning sanitary fittings company will be hosting for professional interior designers in this region.
The topic of the event was the “Basics of Spa & Wet Area Design” and speakers from Esadore, the Spa consultants were present to guide designers on how to design a SPA. Interior designers from a range of design firms were invited to attend the event. The aim of the seminar was to provide interior designers with a better understanding of the key issues when designing for spas and wet areas whilst teaming up with the wider design community.
In 2012 GROHE launched the Design Series program to encourage and reward successful creative work by young university students in the field of design. Introduced in Lebanon and Turkey, the program was designed to provide students with opportunities to challenge and maximize their individual talents while promoting lifelong learning. APID’s Design Seminar Series was launched in April 2014 to enhance the skills of professional designers in the Gulf by exposing them to new innovations and expanding their knowledge on products they specify.
Firas Ibrahim, GROHE’s Sales Director Projects, Gulf, out of the GROHE Dubai office, said: “As part of GROHE’s continued commitment to giving back to the community and to promote learning and the design communities, we are delighted to have partnered with APID and Esadore to make this design seminar possible. Together we hope to educate and encourage dialogue about the best practices and challenges of spa designs in the UAE whilst implementing initiatives to engage the design community as part of GROHE’s Design Series program. Through our collaboration, we hope to play our part in aiding and investing in the UAE design community.”
