Gold’s Gym, a subsidiary of the Al Ahli Holding Group, is set to become the first gym chain to offer cloud-based technology to consumers for fitness tracking and lifestyle management. With the relaunch of five of its fitness clubs in the UAE to include state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment and a complete revamp of the indoor cycling studio, Golds Gym now offers a complete digital solution to consumers to bring fitness into the digital age.
The equipment revamp in Al Barsha Mall, Etihad Mall, Al Musalla Tower, Al Wahda Mall, and Mazyad Mall is the first phase of this state-of-the-art equipment roll out.
The announcement comes at an important time as Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, aims to make Dubai one of the world's healthiest cities. Gold’s Gym, a division of Al Ahli Holding Group, is on track to support this important national initiative.
“For over 40 years, Al Ahli Holding Group has been committed to the health and happiness of the UAE and its citizens,” said Mohammed Khammas, CEO of Al Ahli Holding Group. “Through the implementation of this digital technology in Gold’s Gyms across the country, we are further enabling our citizens to achieve overall physical and mental fitness.”
The digital equipment, which is also used across Olympic training facilities worldwide, will allow members to accurately track and monitor their performance with real-time information about their heart rate, power output, and more. Gold’s Gym will soon release its smartphone app in partnership with TechnoGym where clients can seamlessly link the equipment with the app as well as track each of their workouts and progress overall.
The new cycling studio is driven by cloud-based technology, offering heart-pumping immersive classes. After each class, participants can view their progress, workout summary and body metrics. The popular fitness chain has also added bespoke cycling classes to the schedule, allowing for freestyle and themed-sessions. These cycling classes are all free for a member of Gold’s Gym and a trial session can be arranged by setting an appointment with the club.
Rory Sweetlove, COO of Gold’s Gym UAE said, “Consumers nowadays are information driven and the information that will be available to our Club Members through the Golds Gym app will provide them personalized training programs as per their individual fitness needs, measure their power, track their performance in real time, and analyze their progress. We are delighted to become the first gym chain in UAE to offer this innovative technology of digital solutions that give our club members an unparalleled experience of lifestyle management. We are always striving to provide the ultimate fitness experience”.
