The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) published the 116th issue of “The Industrial Cooperation in the Arabian Gulf” Magazine in which GOIC Secretary General Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel wrote: “GOIC… 40 years of efforts in support of the Gulf industrial development”. He explained that “GOIC benefited from the guidance of their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of GCC states, to strengthen joint economic ventures. Indeed, the Organization seeks to support member states and lay the foundation of economic integration between GCC countries, which is one of the most important objectives of GOIC.” He added: “GOIC’s contributions to various successes in the industrial sector were clear throughout the last 40 years.”
Furthermore, GOIC Secretary General emphasized that over the years, the Organization bore witness to the eagerness of GCC countries to achieve the highest levels of cooperation and coordination to promote this vital sector, one of the main pillars of the GCC economy.”
Dr. Ali Al-Mulla, GOIC Assistant Secretary General for Industrial Projects Sector also wrote an article entitled: “GOIC backs investors and contributes to the rise of the Gulf industrial sector.” In this article, he opined that GOIC has a huge cumulative expertise in the area of industrial studies and investment opportunities. It is ready to work on developing new investment opportunities and introducing them to the GCC private sector in various fields. These opportunities are based on GOIC’s studies that identified missing and promising industries throughout the region.
Moreover, Mr. Shamlan H O Al Jeheidli, GOIC Assistant Secretary for Industrial Information and Studies Sector wrote a piece entitled: “GOIC… The Gulf’s updated and documented information bank.” He underlined that the Industrial Information and Studies Unit at GOIC has achieved several accomplishments over the last 40 years, mainly the Gulf Industrial Knowledge Centre (GIKC) that specialises in providing interested and relevant parties with industrial studies and reports and the IMI Plus Portal. It is undisputed that the various GOIC databases are a rich source of accurate and updated industrial, economic and social data about member states.
Editor-in-Chief Mrs Abir Adel Jaber’s article was entitled “GOIC, a continuous journey to promote the Gulf industrial sector”. In her article, Mrs. Jaber stated that “on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, GOIC proves that it remains active in the industrial field and a major economic actor generally. GOIC spares no effort to lay the foundation of economic integration between GCC countries, in line with the directions of their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of GCC states. Mrs. Aber added: “Since its foundation, GOIC endeavoured to support and prepare GCC countries to keep up with global industrial and economic changes and benefit from international success stories and expertise. The Organization is keen on moving forward towards further industrial development in the Gulf to promote the industrial sector in the GCC.”
In addition to that, the Magazine featured several articles written for this occasion: Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Jaafari, Former GOIC Secretary General, wrote an article entitled “The first industrial hub in the Arabian Gulf”; Mr. Mohammed Al-Mosallam, another Former Secretary General also wrote “The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting, the Gulf expertise hub and 40 years of development”; Furthermore, Mr. Abdul Rahman Bin Abdulla Al-Ansari, CEO of Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC)’s article was entitled “GOIC, an honourable journey in support of the industrial development in the Gulf. The issue also included an article entitled “the GCC electricity interconnection… Gulf energy security”, written by Engineer Ahmad Al-Ibrahim, CEO of the GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA). Mr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh Abdulla Al-Fadala, consultant at the Office of HE the Secretary General of the GCC wrote: “GCC… A Solid and Continuous March”, in addition to a variety of articles.
Finally, the Magazine republished a talk with the late Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani Al Thani, Qatar’s first minister of industry and energy that was first published in the Magazine’s first issue in April 1980, in addition to a detailed report about the Organization’s programs and activities “GOIC… 40 years of industrial development in the GCC” and GOIC News, upcoming industrial events, industrial news and specialised training courses offered by GOIC.
The Industrial Cooperation in the Arabian Gulf Magazine is a quarterly periodical issued by the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC). It features articles about GCC industrial and economic trends and new technologies. The magazine also tackles different economic topics including brief and in-depth analyses concerning the current economic and industrial circumstances. Furthermore, it includes reports about the industrial sector in the Gulf and challenges to new industries in particular. In addition to that, it features summaries about relevant industrial, economic and financial topics and articles regarding the current industrial ecosystem, industrial statistics with forecasts, industrial data and information technologies and industrial management.
