GMC Yukon Ranks Highest in Segment in J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study

For the third consecutive year, the GMC Yukon ranked highest in its segment in the J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study.

In parallel, for the second year in a row, the Sierra, a vehicle that offers distinctive styling and capability, secured the runner-up slot in the Large Light Duty Pickup Truck category.

“Such industry recognition is a testament to the fact that GMC continues to meet – and even exceed – customers’ needs when it comes to ensuring a superior ownership experience,” said Muneer Alhasan, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, GM KSA. “The award further crystallizes the Yukon’s legacy as one of the industry’s most dependable full-size SUVs and underlines the strong residual value we see from older GMC models in the pre-owned market.”

The current 2016 model builds on this legacy of dependability with enhanced capability, refinement, safety, performance and connectivity customers have come to expect from a GMC.

The 2016 Yukon distinguishes itself with bold exterior styling, a precision-crafted interior and more standard safety features designed to broaden the appeal of Saudi Arabia’s most favorite full-size SUV.

The 2016 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study is based on responses from 33,560 original owners of 2013 model-year vehicles after three years of ownership. The study was fielded from October through December 2015.

The study, now in its 27th year, examines problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of 2013 model-year vehicles. Overall dependability is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality. The study covers 177 specific problem symptoms grouped into eight major vehicle categories.
