As part of the GEMS Sports Series – in partnership with East Sports Management (ESM) – 637 students across GEMS Education schools in the UAE and Nairobi participated in the third edition of the GEMS Swim Cup held at the Hamdan Sports Complex between April 18 and 19.
For the first time GEMS Sports Series have hosted students internationally – where 24 students – between the ages 9 and 15 – from the Cambridge International School, Nairobi competed at the GEMS Swim Cup.
Within the GEMS Education, eight swimmers are national and international level achievers from Jumeirah College, GEMS Dubai American Academy, GEMS Wellington International School, GEMS World Academy and GEMS Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis.
Launched in 2017, the GEMS Sports Series provides students with a platform enabling them to showcase their sporting talent; creating healthy and competitive sports capabilities. The series provide a selection of championships - a competitive, inclusive and active platform for students from all backgrounds - by going head to head against their peers in a variety of sports within the GEMS school network.
