GCC Pharmaceutical Congress will highlight key solutions to the latest challenges faced by pharmacists in the region


Pharmacists play an important role as leaders to improve healthcare outcomes, decrease cost, reduce patient safety risk, optimise medication management systems and align the pharmacy services with the management strategies that measure and reward quality performance. However, the continuing evolution of pharmacist role is tied to numerous challenges including collaboration with the different stakeholders in the medical community, learning about new technologies, remaining competitive in the marketplace, improving patient outcomes, maintaining productivity and more.
GCC Pharmaceutical Congress will taking place from 3-6 May 2015 in Dubai, the second edition of the leading event will highlight key solutions to latest challenges faced by pharmacists in the region, and the important role pharmacists are playing in providing quality care to patients as a vital members of the healthcare team.
Industry experts and policy makers will gather to discuss the most pressing topics regionally, presentations will focus on managing drug shortage in the GCC, reviewing documentation system of a pharmacist's activities in the Gulf region, utilising technologies and automation systems to improve pharmacy practice, strategies to enhance the communication between pharmacy and hospital senior management, improving policy solutions to protect patients from counterfeit medicines in the region, deliberating on Pharmacy Residency Programme implementation in the region, Pharmacoeconomics as a decision making tool for formulary inclusion and market access.
