The Foundation of Pilgrim Guides for Non-Arab African Countries plans to create 5,000 seasonal jobs during this year’s Haj, said Minister of Haj Bandar Hajjar on Tuesday.
Hajjar said the foundation adopted an operational plan to provide quality services for pilgrims, to cater for 165,000 pilgrims. In addition, a women’s committee would provide health care and other services with the help of volunteers and Haj ministry officials.
He said the foundation has identified 39 field groups to provide services during Haj, and has requested the heads of the central committees to ensure pilgrims have a safe and secure Haj.
Hajjar also announced that there would be intensive courses for workers who are going to provide services in the field during Haj at Mina, Arafat and the Jamarat including transport, housing and guidance.
He urged the heads of field offices and service groups to prepare their plans to serve the pilgrims.
The goal of the plan is to ensure service groups and accountable.
