His Excellency Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai, inaugurated yesterday the first Chateraise Patessarie store in Dubai, UAE. The grand opening of Chateraise Patessarie took place yesterday in Mirdif35 Mall, Dubai, marking the debut of this famous Japanese franchise in the MENA region.
The grand opening was attended also by a number of VIPs, key individuals, businessmen, social media influencers and members of the press. The opening was privileged with the presence of the H.E. Hisashi Michigami, Consul-General of Japan, and Ms. Takako Saito, Executive Director, Chateraise Holdings.
Chateraise Patessarie caters with a wide variety of cakes, pastries, sweets and Japanese drinks. Chateraise offers specialty sweets made from fresh ingredients, using truly fresh eggs, milk and other ingredients coming all the way from Japan; this shop introduces a wide range of Japanese western cakes such as fresh cream cakes, Swiss rolls, baked confectionaries, Japanese pastries, and Japanese specialty hot and cold beverages.
On the sidelines of the grand opening, Ms. Takako Saito, Executive Director of Chateraise said: “Our sweets are made exclusively from specially selected fresh ingredients from Japan. We take pride in our ‘farm to factory’ process. Our production uses exclusive ingredients, which are produced by directly-contracted farms and pastures. All desserts and sweets are prepared in our factory then shipped and delivered to Chateraise shops all over the world. We wish to please our guests with the sweets made from the freshest ingredients from Japan.”
“We think the UAE is the best market in the MENA region because it has a huge potential for Japanese confectioneries and any brand can prevail from UAE to the MENA region. Our plan is to open new branches all over the GCC countries.”- She added.
It is worth mentioning that the first Chateraise Patisserie was opened in the foothills of Mount Fuji in 1954. Today, the brand has expanded to over 470 shops across Japan and 17 shops around the world. Dubai is the 18th shop outside Japan and the first one in the Middle East region.
Chateraise Patisserie in the Middle East is a collaboration between INDEX Trading & Investment (ITI), a member of INDEX Holding, and ksn Corporation (KSN). INDEX-ksn has been awarded the franchise rights of Chateraise for the UAE and GCC.
On this occasion, Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice-chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding said: “We are very pleased with this partnership with an esteemed brand like Chateraise.
