Salim Assaf, renowned Lebanese singer, music producer, songwriter and composer, produced a new song to coincide with the UAE Innovation Week, held in Ras Al Khaimah, a nationwide celebration of innovation in the UAE launched under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The song, Al Bayt al Mutawa7id that was written, composed and sung by Salim, was produced by Memories Events, arranged and distributed by Fares Masaad and was dedicated to the UAE people and its leadership during the Innovation Week celebrations at the Public Works & Services Department Forum at Saqr Park in Ras Al Khaimah from November 24 to 26, 2016.
The song dedication coincided with the unveiling of the giant graffiti wall in RAK, which glows in the dark and set to receive the Guinness Book of World Records recognition as the largest of its kind.
“Music had been one of the most glorified and appreciated works of art globally, and I wanted to personally offer my creative contribution to the UAE Innovative Week. What better occasion than this to dedicate this new song composed, written, and sung by me to the UAE. I thank HH Sheikh Saud and the UAE leadership for their valuable support in nurturing Arab talent and heritage,” said Salim Assaf.
Wael Jaber, Managing Director at Memories Events, said: “It was great pleasure to be organising such event and producing the new song by the renowned Lebanese artist like Salim Assaf
