The appointment positions the company for rapid expansion in the region
Enjinstarter, a leading Web3 launchpad and advisory company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Vasseh Ahmed as the new managing director of the MENA region. In this role, Vasseh will be responsible for helping companies reach their Web3 ambitions and positioning Enjinstarter as the go-to provider for Web3 adoption in the region.
Vasseh brings a wealth of experience to the role, with over 15 years of expertise in strategy, wealth management and fintech leadership roles across GCC and South Asian emerging markets. He has held leadership positions at several renowned organizations.
"I am thrilled to join Enjinstarter and take on this exciting new role," said Vasseh. "I believe that Web3 has the potential to fundamentally change the way we do business, and I am committed to helping companies in the MENA region leverage Enjinstarter’s capabilities to achieve their Web3 ambitions while cementing Enjinstarter’s role as a key contributor in UAE’s overall Web3 vision.”
Enjinstarter aims to be the premier launchpad, advisory and incubator for Web3 metaverse, gaming, and entertainment experiences. Along with operating out of Dubai, the metaverse capital of the world, Enjinstarter has ambitious plans to help Web2 companies in the region integrate Web3 solutions. They are also looking at adding more projects to their portfolio with a focus on impact and sustainability initiatives to complement the UAE’s outlook towards building a sustainable future.
“The UAE is well-positioned to be a leader in the Web3 space having already set up a strong foundation built on a robust regulatory regime, a clear strategy focused on innovation powered by cutting-edge technology infrastructure and the benefit of being a digital-first economy for several years,” shared Vasseh. “The next few years will focus on implementing and growing web3 use cases across all industries and consolidating the region as the Web3 capital of the world.”
UAE has firmly established itself as one of the top metaverse hubs and recently announced plans to boost the contribution of the metaverse to the economy to $4 billion by 2030.
Vasseh is excited to help raise awareness and position Enjinstarter as a key contributor to the development in the region. He believes that Web3 has the potential to revolutionize the way businesses operate and interact with their customers, and is committed to helping Enjinstarter play a central role in this transformation.
"We are confident that Vasseh's expertise and passion will be invaluable as we work to position Enjinstarter at the center of Web3 adoption in the region," said Prakash Somosundram, co-founder and CEO of Enjinstarter. "We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the impact he will have on our efforts as he brings regional experience with regulators, technology providers and investors.”
To date, Enjinstarter has launched over 50 Web3 projects and platforms since its inception in 2021.
