EMG 2022 thrills gaming fans with Dubai’s biggest ever gamer culture event

 EMG 2022, Dubai’s biggest ever video games festival has successfully wrapped up after two-days of thrilling esports action and gamer culture. Over 8,000 fans attended the first edition of EMG 2022, which featured the nail-biting finale of the Global Esports Tour CS:GO tournament, cosplay competition, celebrity guests and more.

The inaugural edition of the event also featured an anime music performances from famous Japanese pianist Animez and Japanese singer Akeboshi, and a huge line-up of friendly gaming competitions including League of Legends, Valorant, Call of Duty, Fortnite, FIFA, Tekken 7 and multiple VR games.

Esports Management Group, the leading esports and entertainment management company, organized EMG 2022, which took place from 10-11th June at Dubai World Trade Center. 

Abdulla Al Gurg, founder of EMG and Vice President of the Emirates Esports Federation said: "The response to EMG 2022 was fantastic, with halls packed with guests and an amazing finish to the GET CS:GO Tournament. EMG 2022 has raised the bar for Esports and gaming events in the region. I would like to thank all of the esports teams, cosplayers, artists, influencers and attendees who helped to make EMG 2022 such an outstanding success.

“Thanks to the incredible feedback we have had from fans, we have already decided we will be returning with an even bigger and better event for EMG 2023, and we are looking forward to confirming EMG as the ‘must-attend’ event for esports, anime and gaming culture in the region,” he added.

Highlights of EMG 2022 included the GET Dubai CS:GO Tournament, which featured eight of the leading international esports teams competing for a share of the US$250,000 prize pool. In the grand final Ninjas in Pyjamas, from Sweden, narrowly beat Mouz to be crowned champions. The final was preceded by a performance of Anime music by Animenz and Akeboshi.
