Easy (Easy Taxi), the Global company that entered Jordan in 2013 as the first application provider of ride-hailing in the country, is now rebranding its Middle Eastern presence to become “Jeeny”, an app that provide more than e-hailing.
In February 2013, Jeeny – Previously Easy - began operating in Amman; working solely with government cabs to provide its e-hailing and transportation service. Until the launching of EasyGo service late 2016, to include a fleet of private cars providing the choice between the two types for its users.
Changing its business model to include several more services on the future roadmap, the Middle Eastern part of the company is now rebranding to “Jeeny”; which is derived from the fictional creature that grants several wishes to whoever owns it.
“Our brand has been associated mainly with e-hailing services, and since we are taking a leap forward to provide Jordanians with services that ease their daily needs, we wanted a revamped brand that represents variety of offerings.” Said Hammad Ehtesham, Jeeny’s Middle East COO.
It’s important to note that along with the rebrand, comes also a root-change to the existing e-hailing service the company has been providing for the past 4 years; from quality enhancements, experience boosts, to adding gained value with every journey the customer makes within the application.
