“Easy” Encourages Saudi Women with Free Breast Cancer Rides & Checkups

Easy, Previously known as EasyTaxi, the #1 fastest and cheapest ride hailing app has partnered with the awe inspiring Zahra Breast Cancer Association to encourage Saudi women in Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar and Dammam to take a step towards fighting breast cancer, with free checkups and rides to medical screening centers for the full month of October, the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

According to Breastcancer.org, 1 in 8 women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Statistics show that the most significant risk factors for breast cancer are gender (being a woman) and age (growing older).

Easy is a multi-platform app, working with both taxis and selected luxury cars in Saudi Arabia; redefining and easing the landscape of transportation, safety and convenience. And with a solid commitment to social development, the company is known for its initiatives contributing for the greater good of Middle Eastern communities. Therefore, and since Saudi women mostly depend on ride-hailing apps to get around inside the kingdom, Easy’s Marketing Manager in KSA, Nouran ElSoued saw it is only legitimate if women are encouraged to take the test.

“According to our studies and a screening done by WallStreet, women hold almost 80% of the ride-hailing usage share in KSA, so you can only imagine the numbers of females whom we can ease the hassles of checkups for. With each year, stats are showing that breast cancer should not be taken lightly, and we hope our modest contribution adds in ridding the hassle for them.” Added Mrs. Elsoued.

It’s worth mentioning that since its launch in KSA, Easy has been on the run lending a hand to the Saudi community, where their latest initiative consisted of delivering food and providing free rides to Saudi Oger employees who faced financial crisis.
