Dubai-headquartered Ecolog reaches milestone in sports sponsorship

Ecolog, a Dubai-based leading provider of supply chain, construction, technology, facility management, and environmental services, will celebrate a sponsorship milestone this week as Macedonia’s KF Shkëndija Tetovo heads to Italy to play European giants AC Milan in the UEFA Europa League playoffs.

The 2011 winners of the Macedonian First League and the Macedonian Football Super Cup had an interesting run in the UEFA qualifiers so far after beating Moldova’s FC Dacia Chișinău and Finland’s HJK Football Clubs for a place in the playoffs.

KF Shkëndija Tetovo’s current standing highlights Dubai-headquartered Ecolog’s commitment to supporting the sports community in Macedonia, home of the club and origins of the company.

This sponsorship agreement goes back to the 2012-2013 season when Ecolog took over KF Shkëndija Tetovo following the demand from the Club’s fans. The company not only helped improve the club’s financial position but also bought several new players, which led to major improvement in the club’s performance and resulted in several accomplishments.

Adil Toubia, Vice Chairman and CEO of Ecolog commented, “Ecolog has long supported the local communities where it operates and our sponsorship of KF Shkëndija Tetovo is a great example of this commitment. We have had a successful relationship with the team, which was established in Macedonia in 1979, and Ecolog’s support of the club forms a key part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, which includes a range of other activities and initiatives, from rebuilding schools that have been damaged in conflict environments to donating waste-management trucks to municipalities.”

The first match will take place at San Siro Stadium in Milan on August 17th, followed by a second match at the Ecolog Arena in Tetovo, Macedonia on August 24th.
