Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, hosted the ‘Mobile Light Photography Workshop’ in May, organised by the artist Jassim al Awadhi from ‘Akaas Visual Arts’ at Al Twar Public library.
With the workshop, Dubai Culture aimed to instruct individuals on creating professional photos using their smart phones to better serve their lives and work. This workshop took place in light of the technological advancement of phone devices.
Dubai Culture’s support of the workshop’s main goal — the enhancing of people with determination, skills and abilities — is in line with its support of the Dubai 2021 Plan which aims to boost the happiness and comfort of people living in Dubai by promoting a vibrant and sustainable multi-cultural society. It is also in line with supporting Dubai Culture’s vision to establish Dubai as a global, creative and sustainable city for culture, heritage, arts and literature.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
