Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has hosted a calligraphy workshop at the Erada Center for Treatment & Rehab in Dubai. The workshop was held on 25th and 26th July, hosted under the supervision of calligraphers Abdul Fattah Mohammad Malha and Mr. Abdul Khaliq Ayat Ibreza, and attended by Erada Center patients and employees.
This type of initiative is aligned with Dubai Culture’s wider efforts to improve lives in Dubai and enhance the city's position as a place where happy people are part of a community that empowers individuals and nurtures their talent. Through its diverse initiatives and activities, Dubai Culture focuses on supporting a new creative generation, establishing Dubai as a city of happy, creative and empowered individuals, and enriching and enhancing the diverse cultural and creative fabric of Dubai.
Khalil Abdulwahid, Manager of the Arts Section at Dubai Culture, commented: “Dubai Culture aims to develop and discover artistic talents and nurture them through collaborations with governmental and private institutions. This initiative encouraged both patients and employees to develop their creative skills, and we would like to thank the Erada Center management team for its generous efforts and support in hosting these workshops.”
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
