Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has earned the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the organisation.
Dubai Culture received the certificate after passing a stringent audit process run by BSI Group—the national standards body of the United Kingdom that supplies certification and standards-related services to businesses — as well as an additional globally accredited certificate.
Mohammad Al Hammadi, Director of the IT Department at Dubai Culture, said: “We are proud to have attained this certificate for implementing an information security system that not only ensures the security of our organisation’s documents, but also works hand-in-hand with the system implemented by the Dubai Government.“
The security system at Dubai Culture supports our mission to maintain a safe culture and environment throughout our organisation. To ensure that level of security, we continuously adapt and update the system we have in place.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
