Coinciding with the UAE’s 47th National Day celebrations, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts, heritage, and literature, organised its activities at Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood where it held several events like folklore shows and traditional folk dances, as well as featured the participation of wandering vendors.
Taking place at the Al-Seef Theatre, the show featured the daily participation of popular bands like ‘Al-Andima’ and ‘Al-Harbiya,’ and eight wandering vendors who garnered the attention of audiences eager to learn more about the products, their display, and what methods vendors employed to promote their wares.
Other events being presented over the three days included a mime show that was well-received by the audience, many of whom made sure to take photos with the performers.
Throughout these three days, Dubai Culture collaborated with the Seef Theatre by Meraas to entertain visitors and spread happiness among them in celebration of National Day with events that took place from 5 – 10pm.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the UAE’s rich heritage. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures to enhance Dubai's position as a creative and sustainable global city for culture, arts, heritage, and literature, with the aim to empower these sectors by developing creative and innovative projects and initiatives locally, regionally, and globally.
