Darea nights kicked off under the “Ramadan Season” in the city of Riyadh during the holy month of Ramadan. The nights start during the evening from 9:30 am until 2:00 am. The event focuses on showing the strength of the architecture, the economy laterals of the Kingdom as well as the social, cultural, historical aspects for the Darea area in a step to link the roots of establishing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its present and future.
The Darea nights welcome the people of Riyadh through beautiful interactive Ramadan activities full of attractive events inspired by the holy month and sculptured to be innovative. The first scene you can realize upon arrival to the Darea nights is large gate which is designed under the Najdi impressions to welcome all visitors, and afterwards guests can see the Darea heritage space with its traditional outdoor seating zones full of the Ramadan atmosphere, in addition to the story teller that tells gorgeous stories, poems and historic epics on the heroics of Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, it will show the outdoor cinema that presents across it screens the famous Ramadan old movie series and the “Danana” designed especially for the children and includes the traditional games that require skills and special interactive movements, in addition to the handicraft people and the folklore of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Darea Nights seeks to develop the position of the Darea part of Riyadh, locally, regionally, and internationally as the historic, touristic, cultural, and entertainment face of Darea area as well as to utilize this social event to enhance the family values through the Ramadan interactive atmosphere and to allow visitors to explore the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a modern way.
