Crown Prince endorses Saudi Arabia’s final preparations to bid for FIFA World Cup 2034

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman endorsed today, July 29, Saudi Arabia’s preparations ahead of FIFA World Cup 2034 bid book submission. The file will be submitted to FIFA in Paris by the official delegation headed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Saudi Crown Prince for their support and attention to this vital and important sector, which has made the Kingdom a permanent home for many global sporting events, amidst the progress being witnessed by the country.

“We intend to host the exceptional edition that brings together 48 teams for the first time in the history of the tournament in one country,” Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki said.

The direct supervision of the Crown Prince on the Kingdom's candidacy file to host this major football event reflects his keenness to move forward towards shaping the future of sports in Saudi Arabia in line with Vision 2030. This will continue to affirm Saudi Arabia’s leadership at various levels and in all fields, he added.

The file will be submitted in an official event organized by FIFA in the French capital, attended by the official delegation led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Yasser Al-Misehal, and two children from the regional training centers of SAFF.
