Huawei & Commvault
Commvault and Huawei have a long and successful history of working together, the latest edition of which is set to deepen the cooperation between the two companies in the area of data backup with the launch of a Hybrid Cloud Backup Solution for Huawei Cloud.
This solution provides organizations with an easy-to-use, economical and secure solution for backing up workloads running between traditional datacentres and public clouds.
"Data is the core asset for enterprises looking to undertake digital transformation. As such, its value can never be over-estimated. We are excited to be working again with Commvault, this time building a hybrid cloud backup solution that will provide easy-to-use data management and secure data protection for hybrid cloud environments; in the process helping enterprises leverage cloud architecture to optimize data asset services," commented Meng Guangbin, president, IT Storage Product Line, Huawei.
“Data has come a long way from the days when it was seen as an inconvenience that simply occupied storage space, to how we view it today – a strategic asset that needs protecting, analysing and using for competitive gain,” added Wael Mustafa, AVP, MESAT region, Commvault.
“Implementing data protection is one of the most persuasive and challenging elements of working across different cloud environments, however, perhaps the most pressing challenge is finding ways to manage on and off-premise data backup systems in a unified manner. Our alliance with Huawei is making strides towards solving these challenges meaning our customers are now in a position to activate their data assets and derive value from them in a way that was previously just not possible,” finished Mustafa.
