Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Supreme President of Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dubai Health Authority and Hamdan Foundation.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the participation of both institutions in the 49th Arab Health Medical Expo at Dubai World Trade Centre. The Memorandum aims to enhance relationships and exchange expertise in the fields of education, medical training, specialized research, excellence, and innovation.
The signing was attended by His Excellency Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, and Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, along with other officials from both entities.
The Memorandum opens new horizons and creates opportunities for implementing joint projects and initiatives between Dubai Health Authority and the Foundation in the coming phase. It also includes exchanging expertise, knowledge transfer, organizing conferences, seminars, scientific forums, and specialized training programs. This aligns with the priorities of the healthcare sector and the remarkable transformations and advancements it is undergoing.
The Memorandum also stipulates the exchange of technical support and consultations, valuable publications, and opens the field for joint research and studies. It allows for the publication of successful research in journals issued by the Authority.
Following the signing, His Excellency Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Director-General of Dubai Health Authority, stated that the policy of Dubai Health Authority and its methodology involve openness to all distinguished local and global institutions and authorities. This serves the development of the healthcare sector and realizes Dubai's aspirations to achieve a better health future for us and the coming generations.
His Excellency also affirmed that Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences is a national institution with a prominent role and remarkable achievements in the fields of medicine and education. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with this leading institution is poised to achieve many objectives that serve the healthcare system and also the research field, as the authority continuously seeks to elevate its standards.
Al Ketbi further emphasized the authority's appreciation for this collaboration, describing it as a fruitful cooperation and an important gateway to a strong partnership with the foundation. This partnership aims to achieve more ambitious initiatives, especially with the availability of the element of expertise for both parties.
On his part, Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and CEO of Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, said, “We are pleased to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Health Authority, which is one of the prestigious Emirati institutions dedicated to continuous development, offering high-quality healthcare services.
