As part of its commitment to encourage and inspire community, Canon Middle East (CME), a leader in imaging solutions, has partnered with Etihad Aviation Group to organise its fifth annual community engagement “Walk for a Cause,” under the patronage of H.H Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohamed Al Nahyan.
The event which was held at Umm Al Emarat Park, Abu Dhabi was held to support women empowerment projects locally in the Western region of Abu Dhabi and internationally, as well as raising awareness on a global education project in Indonesia. It witnessed an overwhelming response as more than 600 guests, including women and young children participated and contributed to this noble cause.
Highlight of the event was the arts and crafts section which was designed by Canon using Creative Park. Creative Park is an exclusive online portal housing a remarkable number of paper based activities. As a result, an exclusive work book was created from Creative Park where children were assisted in conducting activities on the stand which could later be taken home to do with their family as well.
The event also included ‘Wellness Screening’ lectures by SEHA, an Arts’ and Craft’ section, variety of fun classes comprising of yoga, fitness, Zumba, an ‘Organic Food Corner’, a ‘Beauty Corner, in addition to a ‘Kids’ Corner with Canon providing fun activities and entertainment for kids.

The event concluded with a ‘Live Classic Entertainment’ segment dedicated to its music lovers which consisted of a Grand Pianist, Violinist, Singer, Ballet, and a Zither/Qaunun.
