Pan Arab channel, Quest Arabiya, is putting its pedal to the metal as it takes viewers on a month-long ride this racing season with its November Turbo themed programming.
The Arabic TV channel announced today it will be extending the region’s biggest and best sporting and entertainment weekend with a month long showcase to highlight the region’s passion for motorsports, leading up to the 2016 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX.
Bringing all things Turbo-related to audiences across the Middle East, Quest Arabiya will broadcast a series of exhilarating and awe-inspiring programs, with a spotlight on the best regional stories and productions with talent from KSA, Palestine, Lebanon, and UAE.
Airing for the first time on a free-to-air channel will be feature length documentary “Speed Sisters”- which follows the bold, fearless and first all-women race car driving team from the Middle East, who tear up racing tracks all across Palestine’s West Bank.
The UAE’s two-time Dubai 24 Hours champion, Khaled Al Qubaisi, will take viewers for a spin around the home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in “The Yas Marina Circuit”; a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s most exciting sporting and entertainment venues.
Khalid Khouri, Deputy General Manager of Quest Arabiya, said “November is shaping up to be an exciting and adrenaline-fuelled month in the region’s calendar with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and a buzz of activity.
“We wanted our programs to reflect the region’s passion and the exhilarating line up of activity that will feature over the next month, taking our viewers behind-the-scenes to witness these events and mark the festivities in a way that’s relatable to all facets of our audience this racing season.”
In addition, Quest Arabiya will give everyone from rev-heads to first time motoring enthusiasts, a glimpse of what it’s like to design and execute some of the most extraordinary car builds ever conceptualized.
In “W – Motors The Making Of Super Cars” Lebanese-born Ralph Debbas and his Dubai-based team at W Motors, give viewers an in-depth look into the creation of the first $3.4 million Arabian supercar that famously appeared in UAE filmed “Fast & Furious 7”.
Also featuring are shows hand-picked from Discovery Communications’ extensive library. Audiences can witness the impressive car builds from sketch to finish in “Street Customs”, or check out how a team of custom car builders can work to complete a high-speed car makeover in “Overhaulin'”.
