Boston Consulting Group’s Jeel Tamooh Program Connects Students To Top Saudi Employers

In the prevailing environment of a changing business and working landscape, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has once again exhibited its agility and flexibility, by providing students and graduates with a virtual platform to shape their careers and connect with leading Saudi organizations as part of the Jeel Tamooh Program.

The initiative dedicated to inspiring and nurturing Saudi Arabia’s most distinguished university students into future leaders, held its first Virtual Career Fair this past Thursday, October 22nd, with the Jeel Tamooh members engaging and interacting with prominent employers and industry leaders.

“During the current climate, it is important to adapt to the new reality and ensure that the personal and professional development of up-and-coming generations is not hindered,” said Philippe Cornette de Saint Cyr, Head of BCG Riyadh. “The Virtual Career Fair was a proactive and productive way to connect members of the Jeel Tamooh Program with leading Saudi organizations operating in various segments. Although direct meetings cannot be replicated to a certain extent, everybody adjusted well to the setting, and the experience will prove to be invaluable moving forward.”

“The enthusiasm and commitment the organizations demonstrated in connecting with students and graduates, while also informing them on the competencies they seek in employees, contributed to the event’s success, paving the way for future career fairs,” said Pamela Spreafico, recruiting manager, BCG.

In order to safeguard the health and safety of all those involved, the Career Fair was hosted on a virtual platform. In addition to comprising a series of exclusive presentations, workshops and networking opportunities, insights concerning internships and full-time employment opportunities in fields such as finance, accounting, engineering, and more, were available.

Feedback following the Jeel Tamooh Virtual Career Fair from students, graduates and employers has been overwhelmingly positive, and such unanimous support from both parties.

“The opportunity to engage with experts from multiple fields has enhanced my confidence years and enabled me to develop a better understanding of the tools and skillsets required to succeed in several professional environments,” said Yusra Alyaeesh Alanazi, a member of the Jeel Tamooh Program who participated in the Virtual Career Fair. “Learning from experts and listening to their experiences will undoubtedly help all of us as we pursue our respective career choices.”
