Eng. Adel Alkaff Al Hashmi, Chairman of the Middle East section of the BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT, visited H.E. Dr. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi University’s Board of Directors, this week. Eng. Adel granted His Excellency the BSC Excellence and Creativity Award in recognition of his achievements in the area of innovation and excellence in ICT as well as his outstanding community initiatives related to education, technology, excellence and knowledge at Abu Dhabi University.

A few years ago, BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi University that supported the provision of services to students as well as the UAE community at large. The MoU also propelled the UAE’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy and competition in entrepreneurship, continuing in the footsteps of the late Sheikh Zayed’s (May Allah rest his soul in peace) who was committed to the progress and development of the nation through knowledge, expertise, and empowerment.

Al Hashmi commented, “BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT is at the forefront of leading professional educational institutions that are developing Emirati leaders who will contribute to the development and prosperity of our beloved country under its wise leadership.”

Expressing his appreciation of H.E. Dr. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Al Hashmi said,” We are honored today to recognize an inspiring Emirati personality in the area of ICT who turned Abu Dhabi University into an elite academic institution recognized for excellence, creativity, and innovation.”

H.E. Dr. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri affirmed the importance of the collaboration with BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT, which is in line with the UAE vision 2021 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development saying  “Such collaboration supports the national initiatives for artificial intelligence, information security, smart networks, and e-learning and strengthens the UAE’s position as a leader in ICT, innovation, excellence and smart learning based on the latest international practices and standards.”
