Azizi Developments receives Sponsorship Appreciation Award for its AED 10m contribution to the Al Jalila Foundation

Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, has received a Sponsor Appreciation Award from the Al Jalila Foundation, a global philanthropic healthcare organisation launched by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Azizi had contributed AED 10m to the foundation, in line with its wide-ranging CSR efforts. The CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, Dr Abdulkareem Al Olama, presented the certificate, signed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to Mr Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments.

The donation will be used for cancer treatments, as well as for other medical treatments for the less privileged who otherwise couldn’t afford their medical bills. 

In his comments, Mr Mirwais Azizi said: “We are delighted to be contributing to this important cause as part of our diverse philanthropic efforts across global health, sustainability, social inclusion, and equality, among others. This foundation is one that is of a tremendously high importance, with it conducting pioneering research that is pivotal in addressing health challenges that we as a society are facing. It fills us with pride to serve as a contributing force in this endeavour, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with Dubai being our home. We will stand steadfast with efforts such as these for many years to come, and with the notion in mind that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, we encourage participation to ensure a happier, healthier tomorrow for those in need."
