‘Art for Al Balad’ Christie’s Auction at Historic Jeddah Season

Well known Auction house Christie's has been conducting the most celebrated and renowned auctions since its inception in 1766 by James Christie. The Saudi Ministry of Culture is proud to collaborate with Hafez gallery and  Christie’s on ‘Art of Al Balad’, a special event to support two important causes in the historic city of Jeddah. Famed artists from across the Arab world have generously donated artworks to raise funds towards a dedicated Heritage museum to preserve the culture and unique history of Al Balad. Additionally it will support the Help Center, a Jeddah based children’s non-profit organization geared towards special educational needs for children. The ‘Art of Al Balad’ Auction aims to create a culture sector where artists and creatives can access a platform which celebrates shared identity and builds understanding between people. This special exhibition is open to public and will be held at Nassif House in the heart of Jeddah’s Historical District on the 23rdand 24thof June from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
