ARASCA reveals the world’s first and only mixed reality ambulance simulation technology at Arab Health

ARASCA Medical Equipment Trading LLC showcases new cutting-edge mixed reality technology, which is set to revolutionise various emergency services around the world

Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, ARASCA Medical Equipment Trading LLC, the leading UAE-based provider of pre-hospital medical equipment, has officially launched the world’s first and only revolutionary mixed reality (MR) ambulance simulation technology to demonstrate and train responders in any critical environment or scenario.

The mixed reality ambulance technology, which has been in development for over two years, allows paramedics and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) caretakers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to experience what it is like to respond to an emergency in an actual ambulance rigged with machines to simulate every bump or turn in the road, changing weather conditions, traffic, or different cities, all at the touch of a button.

The innovative technology features unmatched motion and vibration simulation, allowing for a real-world feeling of emergency transportation, where healthcare professionals can navigate through an ambulance, interact with the equipment, and respond to simulated emergencies creating an environment for healthcare workers to experience the various tasks needed to be completed to respond to an emergency.

The opportunities for training are endless, as any environment or challenging scenario can be created. It also promotes communication with other emergency divisions, such as the police, military and civil defence, allowing them to train together. The system also promotes preparedness and provides instant feedback. A special command station can record and evaluate, and all features can be upgraded and customised for differing department needs.

Ms Lina Kandakji, Managing Director, ARASCA, said: “This realistic and immersive experience will provide paramedics and other healthcare professionals with the opportunity to learn and practice life-saving techniques.Paramedics can experience the motion of the ambulance in an emergency situation, including bumps, breaks and turns, all while attending to a life-like mannequin. It allows drivers to react to hazards, and interact with the paramedics in the back of the ambulance while also allowing them to communicate with other emergency responders.

“This mixed reality technology is a pathway to the future, where people can experience the next level of scenario-based training simulation anywhere in the world. We are changing the world and saving lives through this technology.

The unveiling of the new technology follows His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s aim to create the world’s best healthcare sector. In line with this vision, ARASCA continues to contribute by developing and launching various products and services to achieve the goal.

The company currently offers over 5,000 products in areas as diverse as ambulance, emergency, rescue and resuscitation solutions, military, mass crowd and EMS management, and evacuation and immobilisation solutions, amongst others.
