Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of the ancient cultural district of Dubai, announced today the successful conclusion of the 8th Grandma Recipe Contest at Mumtaz Mahal restaurant with Naheed Parveen as a top winner followed by Shaheena Khan and Fahmeena Yasmeen as runners-up.
The Judges for the contest were renowned food critics, writer and chef namely, Rakesh Puri, Ritu Chaturvedi and Tehzeeb Huda and Executive Chef of Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, Glen Ferdinand, who selected the top three winners from the 10 chosen candidates out of 130 entries. This year’s winning recipe is Awadhi Murgh Chaanp which will be part of award-winning Mumtaz Mahal restaurant menu, followed by Nawabi Murgh Musallam with Saffron Sweet Corn Rice and Deccani Mutton Soup.

The variety of contest dishes included Khoba Roti with Panchratna Daal, Chaska Mirch Qeema, Kerala Backwater Biryani, Dabba Gosht, Nawabi Kebab Handi with Shani Pulao and Achari Bhaji. The participants demonstrated exceptional culinary skills in the four hour cooking contest on the final day.
