Almadjouie Changan sponsors “Eastern Green” initiative

Almajdouie Motors Company,  the authorized distributor for Changan cars in Saudi Arabia, announced its sponsorship of the "Eastern Green" campaign, which was launched by the Municipality of the Eastern Province aiming at  planting of  500 thousand trees.

The sponsorship of this remarkable campaign comes within the community service initiatives that Almajdouie Motors Company participates in continuously based on its belief in the importance of tree plantation and its environmental role in softening and purifying of the air, as well as expanding the green area in the cities and provinces of the Eastern province to raise the per capita rate of trees, in addition to improving the urban landscape.

On this occasion, Yousef bin Ali Almajdouie, CEO of Almajdouie Motors, pointed out that participating in this initiative comes within the company's social responsibility framework and strategic plans to interact with the community directly, and said that Almajdouie Company is always keen to contribute to the quality of life, spreading of afforestation culture, instilling values and principles  in the community, and protecting the environment through the sponsorship of the afforestation initiative in the Eastern province, which was launched by the Municipality of the Eastern province aiming at increasing the green area and trees per capita share under the Kingdom's vision 2030

Almajdouie-Changan launched its initiative in this direction two years ago through the “Extreme Heat Challenge Convoy” that toured the regions of Saudi Arabia and was providing agricultural seedlings and planting them in many areas visited by the convoy, and to date they are still taking care of these plants as well as supporting the sites targeted by the afforestation initiative, including parks, squares, streets and mosques, A number of the company’s employees participate in these initiatives as volunteers aiming at promoting the spirit of social participation, in addition to contributing to raising awareness among all community sectors of the importance of afforestation through advertising and social networking sites to target all community  members.

Noting that the process of afforestation will contribute to the reduction of temperatures and air pollution, manage the environmental balance, as well as give a space of shade to be enjoyed by humans, cut the process of desertification and create a pleasant and nice atmosphere. The trees selected for plantation are local evergreen trees which need a little amount of water and care but have a wide shade and do not pose a threat to the infrastructure of the buildings.
