The wait is over as the Beats on the Beach 2016 all-star line-up is revealed today by FLASH Entertainment, organizers of Yasalam – the largest city-wide entertainment festival run by any international race host city. The free-to-attend music extravaganza Beats on the Beach is back with an incredible showcase of local and international stars. Set to kick-off an unforgettable beach party on Thursday, 24 November, this year’s Beats on the Beach will welcome international superstar Sean Paul alongside regional legend Nancy Ajram and the return of fan favourite S.O.S. (Secrecy Over Supremacy) to Lagoon Beach, Abu Dhabi Corniche.
Filipino sensation Yeng Constantino whose awe-inspiring vocals has garnered awards and a dedicated fan base, will be headlining the opening of the musical festival on Thursday, 24 November. A legend in the Filipino community, Yeng’s own rise to superstardom will be mirrored by the local talent on display with ETC 2015 champions S.O.S. (Secrecy Over Supremacy), who will return to the Beats stage after thrilling tens of thousands last year.
Setting the stage for a new era of music legends will be the Emerging Talent Competition Finale. Top three finalists will battle it out to become the second winner of the exceptional opportunity for growing grassroots talent across the Emirates. The lucky winner will then follow in the footsteps of S.O.S and shine on stage during the final night of Beats on the Beach, Saturday, 26 November.
The excitement is only getting started when the Friday, 25 November, Beats crowd is rocked by the return of master of the mic Sean Paul. The Grammy Award-winning Jamaican international superstar has set the sand alight with beats once before and will return with a thrilling performance.
Bringing the regional flavour to a night of endless beats is the biggest Pan-Arab boyband, The5alongside X-Factor Arabia hit-maker, Adham Nabulsi, who are set to take the already jumping crowds to new heights on the Friday. Known for their unique talent at bringing Arabic music at its best to their fans, each act is sure to leave its special mark in people’s hearts.
The weekend is not over yet, as leading songstress Nancy Ajram is set to close the weekend on a legendary note for Saturday, 26 November. The inspirational singer, known for not only jaw-dropping vocals, but her ground-breaking role as the first female ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa by UNICEF, will set a new standard of entertainment across the Corniche.
Local talent from across the UAE, including Emirati fan-favourite Shamma Hamdan - from Arabs Got Talent fame, ETC 2015 alumna rising star Esther Eden, signed to Universal Music MENA, crowd favourites Bull Funk Zoo, will perform on Thursday, 24 November, Friday, 25 November and Saturday, 26 November respectively.
