As part of its corporate social responsibility, Al-Jazeera Paints, the high quality paints industry giant in the Middle East and surrounding regions sponsored a Ramadan Iftar banquet held yesterday in Narsis Hotel in Al Riyadh City. The event was attended by Mr. Abd Al Elah Bin Saud Alromaih, Al-Jazeera Paints member of the Board of Directors, Eng. Abdul Aziz Al Khureijea, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sabaq, e-newspaper, Ali Al Hazemi, The General Manager of the newspaper and its Editor-in-Chief , Shaqwan Al Rasheadi, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Fawwaz Al’enezi, General Manager of “Ekha’” Orphanage along with a number of journalists and media professionals.
In his keynote speech, Eng. Abdul Aziz Al Khureijea, CoB of Sabaq e-newspaper praised the efforts exhausted by “Ekha’” charity organization, citing that such activities –referring to Iftar banquets- are but an integral activity to what the state provides through all its sectors. He thanked Al-Jazeera Paints company for sponsoring this blessed event.
From his side, Mr. Abd Al Elah Bin Saud, Al-Jazeera Paints member of the Board of Directors said that: “Orphans are on the top of the list of those who deserve care, support and patronage”, adding that “stemming from this logic, the care for orphans should take center stage of importance in the society at large including its individuals and institutions. “We should be certain that supporting them shouldn’t stop at providing shelter, clothing, food and drink but should extend to provide psychological, educational and physical health care for them, thus help them becoming good and beneficial citizens in society.” Alromaih concluded.
He saw that supporting orphans should take the highest priority of all charity activities, pointing out that all society segments are responsible for that. He explained that many important segments of the society should have a leadership role in this field including the private sector represented by businessmen and philanthropists. He stressed that the support rendered for orphans should be viewed as an investment in the future and a blessed strive that will help spread goodness, passion, cooperation, love and brotherhood values in the society, which are noble values that we all look up to.
Alromaih explained that Al-Jazeera Paints realizes all such noble values and participates in this Ramadan Iftar banquet as a sponsoring and supporting company coming as part of its corporate social responsibility programs which aim at serving all Kingdom’s sons in all areas and contribute to its development and prosperity. He pointed out that this Ramadan Iftar banquet has gained two goodness, the feeding of fasting people who not only fasting but also orphans. He Prayed that it will be accepted.
Alromaih extended his thanks and appreciation for all who contributed to holding this Iftar banquet, led by Eng. Abdul Aziz Al Khureijea, the CoB of Sabaq e-newspaper who cordially invited the company to contribute and participate in this blessed event during the month of the Quran, the month of forgiveness and generosity. These efforts are added to “Ekha’” charity organization’s very rich programs and activities which reflect the scope of care rendered to orphans, this very deer segment of our giving, passionate and loving society in a step that may enhance the role of the private sector and businessmen in the field of charity and orphans serving.
It is worth noting that “Ekha’”, Orphans Support Society provides many programs and activities for its sons from both genders who are under its care throughout its nine branches that are stretched all over the Kingdom. These programs include housing, education, higher education, training, employment, awareness, family support, financial aid, physical aid, Haj and Umra, marriage, cars and other activities and events throughout the year all of which to benefit boys and girls who are orphans.
