Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Al Dammam University Dr. Abdulla Bin Mohammad Al Rubaish, the Interior Architect Department – the Design & Architect College held in partnership with Al-Jazeera Paints the Interior Architect Day under the title : (Paints & Colors2015). The event will be held over two days period on 10-11of Rajab, 1435 H, corresponding to 29-30 April, 2015.

Establishing such day comes from the role of the university to spread the culture of participation and cooperation between civil society and the private sector in the Kingdom. While the participation of Al-Jazeera Paints stems from its keenness to the importance of building strong ties and organizing joint programs and solid partnerships with national universities in order to integrate their roles in all levels including the scientific research level which the company considers as key to industrial evolution. The aim is to realize added-value progress to Kingdom’s toward development. It also reflects on society development, progress and elevation and enhancement of sustainable development. The event is looked at also as an extension of the Saudi Paints & Colors Conference which was held by Al-Jazeera Paints in Abha, Al Riyadh and Jeddah for three consecutive years starting from 2012, 2013 and 2014 that witnessed a massive success.

The Day witnessed the presentation of more than 25 scientific experiments covering the Colors, Sustainable Green Buildings and Paints Technology alongside a number of activities and workshops for students and specialists in Interior Architect field, students` exhibition for their scientific innovations. The location of the posters hall side by side with the lecture hall embodied a quality added-value for the activity as 28 researches and projects will be presented as posters while the students from the department whereas company experts will speak directly about their researches.

Al-Jazeera Paints adopted the organization of the Saudi Paints & Colors Conference at the aim of developing the industrial sector especially the paints industry. This stems from its solid conviction of the necessity to enrich scientific research and exchange of expertise. It aimed also at bridging the gap between research bodies, the industry and the professionals who execute the paints and colors. It stems also from the keenness to increase society awareness in this field amidst its leadership of the paint market with its assorted innovations, coating systems and integrated colors for buildings. These paints and colors systems are internationally accredited and represent innovative solutions facing the challenges that people face when mulling to paint their houses, offices and construction projects. They are also in line with modern day architectural trend worldwide in regard to health, safety and environment.
