Habitat School launched the first ever school exhibition for programming, robotics, history and representation of digital technology, "Digital Festival" at Habitat School in Ajman on Saturday,28-10-2015.
Morad Qutqut Midddle East Chief Technical Officer of HP, inaugurated the event that displayed a number of novel ideas which belongs to IT sector.
The works designed and developed by the students of Habitat were in five areas: Artificial Intelligence, Websites, Mobile apps, Games, AR and VR, and Technical presentations, alongside presentations on the literary and cinematic takes on computers and the internet.
The student participants, who literally ranged from the first to the twelfth standard, were mentored at the Cyber Square, a programming school project implemented by the Habitat group for the first time in the UAE four years ago. Along with the students and parents of Habitat, registered guests from other schools and general public also came to see the exhibition. The programme was organized under the auspices of the Chairman of the school group, Sheikh Sultan Bin Saqer Rashed Humaid Al Nuaimi .
“Curiously, the digital festival comes up at a point when the UAE government has just announced a project to produce one million coders promising a wonderful future for programmers in the country. Habitat School is happy to spread enthusiasm about such excellent initiatives of the government by starting training in coding at a very small age”, said Mr. C. T. Shamsu Zaman, the group’s Managing Director.
“Just like nature, technology is also an enabling environment. This is part of the basic conceptual framework of the Habitat group. Digital Festival allowed the students a platform for showcasing the learning they gained in this field in the last three-four years”, says Adil C T, the CEO of the group.
Habitat School Al Jurf Principal and convenor of the event, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar was also present at the press conference.
