Abu Dhabi Customs' platform ‘Ain’ receives intellectual property rights certificate

The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has registered intellectual property rights with the Ministry of Economy for its AI Future Platform project "Ain", one of the integrated innovative projects developed by the Abu Dhabi Customs team. The platform aims to facilitate the development of training and educational materials through a set of AI-based tools.

The platform supports many features to meet the needs of users in innovative and modern ways, such as converting written texts into visual training videos that support sign language, and provide instant multilingual translation to ensure effective communication with a diverse global audience.

It also relies on machine learning to feed the system with customs terminology, which includes deep learning and artificial neural networks to ensure the accuracy of translations and contextual understanding of data, which improves the efficiency of internal and external communication.

The platform has succeeded in developing an automation system to streamline various processes and functions, such as converting texts into videos or processing instant translations, which enhances the efficiency of training processes, shortens the time taken to prepare educational materials, and reduces the need for human intervention in repetitive processes.

Receiving the certificate of intellectual work for the “Ain” platform is another milestone of Abu Dhabi Customs journey towards excellence, and is in line with the strategic indicators and targets of the Emirate.

By launching such initiatives and innovations which consolidate its global leadership and contribute to achieving the goals of the “We the UAE 2031” vision, the UAE is set to become a hub for the new economy based on innovation, creativity and pioneering projects.
