The 9th edition of the Customer Advisory Forum Event Middle East (CAFÉ ME) will be hosted in Dubai this year on November 29th. The full-day event kicks off this year with the theme “Empower, Accelerate and Transform – HR and Learning Re-defined”.
CAFÉ ME is an annual event that highlights the latest trends in e-Learning technologies, Development & Learning strategies and proposes new solutions for future learning. The event brings together experts from education sector, software developers as well as CEOs and HR directors looking to improve on their current HR practices and training methods.
Paul Gledhill, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Xpert Learning, said:” What started years ago as a small gathering of our customers to discuss learning technologies, has grown into one of the region's largest think tank event on new HR and Learning technologies.”
Competition in the corporate education market in the UAE is intensifying with many players operating in the market. Most of the time, companies choose to invest in their human capital through effective learning and development approaches, particularly those that guarantee tangible future success. Companies also try to take steps to ensure their corporate training is effective and up-to-date so that they can be sure that they are making it worth all the money spent. However, in addition to money (i.e. budgets), employee turnover is usually a major problem which leaves companies with various learning gaps. Not to mention, the continuous changes and shifts in learning material and management systems.
Therefore, companies looking to incorporate a new training program are turning to e-learning, which offers numerous advantages when compared to face-to-face or classroom learning. Advancement and efficiency are extremely important to businesses today, and many companies are turning to e-learning to save money, time, and energy.
Jerry Nine, Co-Founder and COO of Skillsoft, commented:” Employees are always looking for opportunities to develop and grow. Online training allows employees to quickly get up to speed on new processes. One major complaint about older style training methods is that it’s time consuming and takes away from valuable time that could have been spent on other work. With Training Management Systems, employees can participate in their online courses at any time from any location; whether it’s at home, during down time at work, or anywhere else they feel like”.
“Employers, on the other hand, are looking for an online training system that reduces many costs that would normally be associated with classroom training, including learning materials, travel and venue. Important text packages and lesson programs can be updated quickly and easily, and since they’re virtually online, can save on printing costs. In previous years, updating and re-printing learning material would be costly and timely. Moving the learning experience online helps with all these concerns”. Jerry added.
Janine Croft, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Xpert Learning, concluded:” CAFÉ ME is organised every year to acknowledge our relationship with our customers and prospects in the region. This year is no exception, we have an amazing agenda of speakers and fun lined up, with some of the most senior HR, Talent and Learning professionals joining us. We are proud to host this event each year and we look forward to welcoming everyone in November”.
