The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) on Saturday announced that more than 2,400 youths are ready to join the telecommunications sector in Makkah.
Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, governor of TVTC, said that TVTC training has the ability to provide qualified cadres to work in the telecommunications sector for the country's labor market.
He said they are putting all their efforts toward the placement of Saudi youth in the telecommunication market in sales and maintenance of mobile devices.
He pointed out that the organization has training facilities and equipment which can provide qualified Saudi cadres for work in this sector. The institute is working under the leadership of the Ministry of Labor, which is seeking to provide jobs to Saudi youths in all sectors of the labor market in the Kingdom.
Al-Fuhaid also inspected the communications program, which is being implemented at technical colleges and institutes in Makkah Province.
He explained that some of the programs that are being implemented in secondary industrial institutes in Jeddah, where more than 100 training units are working, are for mobile maintenance, customer service, advanced mobile services and sales management.
He pointed out that the foundation has the designated portal ctc.tvtv.gov.sa to provide information on these programs.
Faisal bin Aqeel, head of the training office in Makkah, explained that TVTC Makkah has carried out a training program in technical colleges, communications institutes and industrial institutes in Jeddah, Makkah, Taif, Laith and Qunfuda.
Women can access the learning facilities available at Jeddah and Taif TVTC institutes.
He said 527 youths are taking training in 28 programs for sales and customer service departments, where 833 youths have already been trained in sales management software, customer service and the basics of mobile services.
He also revealed that in the coming weeks almost 713 youths in 34 divisions will be trained.
He said almost 330 women have already qualified from Jeddah and Taif institutes. He also confirmed that since the launch of the training program in the mobile and communication field, until today almost 2,403 youth have been trained in Makkah.
