The number of workers in the Saudi private sector reached a record number of 11.05 million by end of January 2024, according to the National Labor Observatory.
The total number of nationals working in the private-sector entities amounted to 2.33 million by the end of January, of which male and female workers accounted for 1.38 million and 952,380, respectively. Meanwhile, the number of expats working in the private sector reached 8.73 million, NLO said, on ‘X’ platform.
It added that a number of growth factors contributed to achieving such record number, including the initiatives of the Human Resources and Social Development system, increased job creation, and rebound of private-sector entities, coupled with economic reforms and government support.
A total of 32,450 Saudis joined the private-sector workforce for the first time.
