Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, Republic of Korea Sign Intellectual Property Data Exchange Program

The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property and Korean Intellectual Property Office signed today during the sixth virtual meeting held between the two sides an intellectual property data exchange program. The program comes within the framework of the intellectual property Memorandum of Understanding( MoU) signed between the two sides on 25 September, 2018.
The program aims to provide information on intellectual property through exchanging the data of the different fields of intellectual property; such as patent, trade mark, and registered industrial designs in the two countries. The program also aims to introduce the registered intellectual property in the two countries.
The authority aims to the growth and inclusiveness of the intellectual property data in its information center which will enable Saudi inventors and innovators to examine previous innovations and technologies at the international level to transfer technologies and develop new inventions.
It is worth noting that the National Intellectual Property Strategy Program was signed on 26 June, 2019 in the Korean capital Seoul, between Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property and the Korea Intellectual Property Office in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in.
