The competitions for the national digital initiative "Homathon", which is organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) launched today remotely with the aim of building technical solutions that contribute to mitigating the effects of the Coronavirus on the world.
More than 10,000 software developers from 51 countries applied for participating in the competition to date, where they will compete to innovate new technical solutions within the 8 available tracks in Homathon: E-government, financial technology, health, education, trade, remote work, entertainment, and logistics sectors.
The Homathon outputs will contribute to finding technical solutions that benefit governments, companies, societies and individuals, in addition to creating links and professional communication between developers and technologists from all over the world.
The participants in the competition should build their teams of 2 to 5 people and then compete over a period of 7 days to build qualitative technical solutions with a significant impact to reduce the effects of coronavirus, while the best 3 technical solutions will be crowned with Homathon title and the financial prizes exceeding SAR 300,000.
The Homathon competition is scheduled to conclude on April 25th after the participations are subject to sorting and evaluation, then the results of the winning teams will be announced on the same day.
