Black Tap to Shake Up Jeddah’s Entertainment and Dining Scene

Upping the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving entertainment and dining landscape, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes, is bringing its award-winning menu and famous CrazyShake® milkshakes to residents in The Kingdom.

Sunset Hospitality, Black Tap’s master franchisers for Middle East and Europe, has partnered with muvi, the first home-grown cinema brand in Saudi Arabia. This is Black Tap’s first foray in The Kingdom at Mall of Arabia Jeddah, with several more venues planned in the coming months.

“Saudi Arabia is a destination we have had our sights on for some time. Black Tap has already gained significant popularity across the GCC and we look forward to introducing this first location in The Kingdom to the bustling city of Jeddah.” said Antonio Gonzalez, Group CEO at Sunset Hospitality. “A partnership with a strong home-grown entertainment company couples well with Black Tap’s award-winning burgers, over the top CrazyShake® milkshakes, and old-school New York vibe.  It is the perfect marriage of a quality dining and film experience for movie goers and food lovers alike.”

“This is an exciting time across The Kingdom with the development of the cinema industry adding to the growing entertainment scene,” said Adon Quinn, COO – muvi Cinemas. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with a brand known for making waves in the global dining scene and believe Black Tap’s widely popular burgers and delectable shakes will be the perfect F&B option for movie goers of all ages.”

The NYC cult burger and shake brand has revolutionized the global casual dining scene with a badge of ultimate street cool. Its ‘80s and ‘90s hip-hop and pop vibe, one-of-a-kind atmosphere, famous burgers, and over the top CrazyShake® milkshakes gives residents multiple reasons to dine out.

The menu features 14 burgers, which includes vegetarian options, along with favourites like The Truffle Burger built with a Wagyu steak patty topped with black truffle mayo; the Filet au Poivre Burger, which boasts a tenderloin steak piled high with peppercorn sauce, frizzled onions and swiss or blue cheese; as well as the Pizza Burger, Chili Cheese Burger, and the classic All-American.

Taco fans aren’t left out with four different offerings, including the Carne Asada, which come stacked with a generous filling of marinated steak, pico de gallo, caramelised onions and roasted tomato salsa; and the shrimp taco which is smothered in Mexican hot sauce and served with cabbage, avocado, and corn.

Moving over to the decadent goodness that has fans all over the world queuing up to take photos– the CrazyShake® milkshakes include newcomer to the menu and region - The New Yorker. This treat begins with a strawberry shake with a vanilla-frosted rim with crushed Graham crackers, topped with a strawberry cheesecake slice, whipped cream, strawberry sauce drizzle and a cherry.

The Mall of Arabia venue is now Black Tap’s eighth restaurant in the GCC, with Sunset Hospitality Group having introduced the American burger brand to the region with its first venue in Dubai in February 2017. The brand now operates across the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and now KSA.
