HPE Boosts Capabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Senior Announcement

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) today announced that Marc Waters has taken up the position of Executive Sponsor to Saudi Arabia with immediate effect. Under Marc’s direction, HPE will continue to work closely with Saudi authorities to deliver its national goals under its Vision 2030 programme.

 

Marc Waters has led the HPE UK and Ireland business with great success for the past three years and in July Phil Davis, President of Hybrid IT, HPE announced that Marc will become Managing Director for UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa on November 1st, which will include overall responsibility for Saudi Arabia. Issa Al-khamees continues in his role as Managing Director for Saudi Arabia, reporting into Marc.

 

A key component of Marc’s remit sees him working closely with Saudi government bodies to help realise the country’s aim of attaining a top 10 position on the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Index. 

 

Marc will also be key to facilitating HPE’s commitment to Saudisation through refining the company’s many initiatives that train the country’s citizens and provide them with the skills to drive the country forward. These initiatives include the HPE Graduate Program, which has had SAR 20 million invested by HPE since its launch in 2010 to develop the skills of Saudi graduates.

An accomplished senior leader, Marc brings more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry and a track record of success in roles encompassing general management, sales, operations and marketing. Among his career successes to date are major technology transformation partnerships for the UK’s Gatwick Airport, the English Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, The Ryder Cup and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.
