STARZPLAY, the leading subscription video on demand (SVOD) service, partnered with VOX Cinemas to launch ‘My Hero Academia The Movie: Two Heroes,’ across a number of VOX cinemas in Riyadh and Jeddah.
The Japanese anime feature film, based on the popular manga comic version ‘My Hero Academia’ by Kōhei Horikoshi, attracted hundreds of regional anime fans keen to catch the film in Saudi Arabia for the first time since its original release in Japan. The anime box set series inspired by the comic is available on STARZPLAY for the region’s subscribers.
The plot of the movie sees characters Deku and All Might receive an invitation to I-Expo, the world’s leading exhibition of ‘Quirk’ abilities and hero item innovations. Later I-Expo’s top-of-the-line security system gets hacked by villains, and a sinister plan is put in motion. One man, All Might, holds the key to saving hero society and becomes a symbol of peace.
