Nursery bags 3 prestigious awards at 25th Business Excellence Awards by DED

Winning three awards at the 25th Dubai Business Excellence Awards ceremony held at Madinat Arena today, British Orchard Nursery, UAE’s foremost nursery chain, once again raised the bar for the quality and performance for country’s early years education sector.

The nursery bagged the Dubai Human Development Appreciation Award (DHDAA) for their DEWA - Al Quoz and Dubai Women’s College - Al Qusais branches recognizing their long-term commitment to human resources development at the government branches. They received the Dubai Quality Appreciation Award (DQAA) for the JBR branch. This is the fourth time that the preschool chain has won the prominent awards.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr Vandana Gandhi, Founder and CEO of British Orchard Nursery chain said: "We are elated to be part of this special 25th year of the awards and to have won 3 awards on the day is truly a proud moment for our team. The all women's team at BON has emerged as winner amongst thousands of applicants. My team and I would like to thank the UAE leadership and DED for recognising our efforts on the platform. Awards such as these are constantly helping UAE organizations to raise the performance bar and encourage companies to consistently upgrade their skills. The rigorous evaluation process itself creates benchmarks for success while raising awareness on the concepts of employee engagement, quality standards and performance.”

British Orchard Nursery has the distinction of being the only ISO quality, environment, health and safety certified and the most awarded pre-school chain in the Middle East, gaining recognition for quality, innovation and women empowerment among other benchmarks. The preschool has raised the standard of the work place environment and is working closely with government institutions to meet the expectations of the Emirati population. It is also sensitive to and looks after children with special needs.

British Orchard Nursery follows best practices which include an open door policy, equality and diversity, rewards and recognition programs and in-house and external trainings for each staff member. It also offers scholarships on UK teaching courses, Dubai Government's quality conferences and benchmarking events – where the nursery encourages its staff to participate  free of cost  and fast track their development program.

Since its inception in 1994, the Dubai Quality Award has received the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai who has been instrumental in driving the quality movement across the private and public sectors in the emirate. DQA encourages and motivates companies and institutions to adopt a policy of excellence, provide the best services, and recognize best practices in performance excellence.
