The capital’s favourite address, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas hosted a tree-planting event earlier this week, as part of the Department of Culture and Tourism’s (DCT) celebrations for the Year of Zayed initiative.
With the support of the DCT, the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas team and a media delegation from Abu Dhabi participated in planting a tree complete with a plaque, at the luxury beach resort’s central lawn. The landmark event recognized the thought, approach and vision of the revered Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, with the tree being a physical embodiment that highlights the environmental aspect in the life of the late founding father.
Speaking on this memorable occasion Janet Abrahams Director of Sales and Marketing, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas said “We are delighted to collaborate with the DCT to honour the visionary Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul, through this event. We are proud to leave a green fingerprint on Abu Dhabi’s journey to a cleaner, environmental-friendlier tomorrow.”
Abrahams concluded, “Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas is focused on efforts to raise environmental awareness in order to protect and preserve the natural beauty of Saadiyat Island. We see our role as part guardians of this protected area. This initiative by DCT will help raise awareness, respect and appreciation for the environment and honors the illustrious path builder and the founder of our nation.”
