The Saudi Health Council approved the unification of codes in emergency and disaster situations in all health sectors.
The approval came during the council’s 83rd meeting, presided over by its chairman and Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah.
The council advised health sectors to conduct surveys on newborns, document them electronically or on paper, and add them to the vaccination card, which includes information on the child’s physical, mental and motor development. The council stressed the importance of transparency and correct information.
It also approved the National Plan for the Development and Practice of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.
The council prepared the plan in collaboration with a highly trained and professional scientific team, and with the participation of the various health sectors in the Kingdom.
The council reviewed the progress of the study of the use of high-cost medical devices and equipment to start designing a plan to benefit from them nationally.
The council also reviewed a report on the balanced distribution of health facilities in all Saudi regions.
The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 reform plan aims to achieve access to quality health care for all segments of society.
