Kaspersky Lab Partners to Fuel Amna Al Qubaisi’s Drive for Success

Kaspersky Lab, a long-standing partner of Abu Dhabi Racing, has extended and expanded its partnership with Amna Al Qubaisi, the first Arab woman to compete in Formula 4. Al Qubaisi is a member of the PREMA racing team, and Kaspersky Lab has sponsored her since 2017.

Amir Kanaan, Managing Director - Middle East, Turkey and Africa, Kaspersky Lab, said: “Kaspersky Lab is committed to helping teams and individuals perform at their peak potential. We are particularly proud of our long association with international motorsports, and see it as an honour and responsibility to work with Amna, a rising star in the global motorsport universe. We see this as our investment in the communities within which we operate, and hope to showcase her ambition and future successes as examples that all youth can emulate.”

Khaled Al Qubaisi, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Racing said: "I would like to thank Kaspersky Lab for believing in Amna's skills and for giving her the opportunity to transform from Karting into single-seater racing. Extending the support means a lot to Amna, this association will definitely help her to keep going in her career and we hope our partnership with Kaspersky Lab to go a long way in getting Amna to compete ultimately at the highest level of this sport.”

Amna Al Qubaisi made her Formula 4 debut when Round 1 of the Italian championship kicks off in Adria, Italy, on April 22, 2018, and became the first Arab woman to represent the region at this motorsport event. She holds the distinction of being the first Emirati woman to win the UAE’s senior Rotax Max Challenge karting series in 2017.

Kaspersky Lab has a strong affiliation and history with motorsport. Since 2010 it is a proud sponsor of Scuderia Ferrari and it is responsible for protecting Ferrari’s IT infrastructure. Kaspersky has also established a partnership with DS Virgin Racing competing in the Formula E championship, focused on designing and implementing world-class cyber security solutions geared to protect the team’s devices against any unknown cyberthreats.

Earlier collaborations include one with Abu Dhabi Racing to support the Daman Speed Academy –of which Amna is a graduate- to help raise the profile of motorsport and promote cybersecurity as an issue relevant to anyone using modern technologies, not only in Abu Dhabi but in the entire Middle East region.
