151 projects worth SR11.84bn in Tabuk

 Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman launched and laid the foundation stone for 151 development projects at a total cost of SR11.84bn in Tabuk region on Tuesday.

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, was present during the ceremony to launch the projects.

The projects which were launched included:

Eleven projects of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) totalling worth SR98.31m.

69 projects of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs totaling SR757.76m.

21 projects of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture worth a total of SR1.5bn.

Five projects for the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources: Two projects for the Industrial Cities Authority totaling SR45.86m and three for the Electricity Administration worth a total of SR4.94bn.

Two projects for Ministry of Housing worth SR408m.

11 projects for the Ministry of Education; six education projects and five other projects for Tabuk University worth SR1.6bn.

16 projects for the Ministry of Transport totaling SR1.6bn and 18 projects for the Seaports General Authority worth SR876m.

King Salman is scheduled to launch the SR85bn Waad Al-Shimal Economic Project on Thursday.

He will also lay the foundation stone for the solar energy project in Sakaka, and Domat Al-Jandal wind energy project, among others.

King Salman attended on Monday night the public reception by citizens on the occasion of his historic visit to the Tabuk region, the Gateway to the North.

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, was also present at the grand reception held at King Khalid Sports City in Tabuk.

Upon arrival at the venue of the function, the King was received by Prince Fahd Bin Sultan, emir of Tabuk.
